Most of these larger paintings are done on primed 1/8 ply. I make a frame on the back sides so the image floats 2 inches off the wall. It has a clean modern look this way and can be hung with no need for a frame. A frame can work with this also and might make it jump even more. It is difficult to capture the color here, it is a bit more intense in person and has a "depth" feeling overall.
